Pikeville Elementary School is a PK–5 school in Pikeville, Tennessee, serving 383 students and part of Bledsoe County Schools. After several steady years with 3-star ratings and rankings near the 57th–60th percentile statewide, the school saw a sharp reversal in the most recent 2025–2026 results, falling to the 34th percentile with a 2-star rating — a drop of roughly 250 positions in a single year, following three years of stability and improvement.

The decline appears across multiple subjects and student groups. Math proficiency fell from 42% to 32.9%, now 10 points below the state average, while ELA dropped from 42% to 36.1%. Third-grade math is especially concerning, with only 17.6% of students proficient compared to 42.6% statewide. The school now trails both of its district counterparts — Mary V Wheeler Elementary School and Cecil B Rigsby Elementary School — even while spending more per student than either school. Declines also appeared across multiple student subgroups, including students from low-income families and students receiving special education services.
