Compass Community School Berclair Campus is a small K-8 school serving 231 students in the Berclair neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, within the Memphis-Shelby County Schools district. The school is a standout turnaround story: it climbed from the 9th percentile statewide in 2021-2022 to the 50th percentile by 2025-2026, earning a 3-star rating. This is especially notable given that its district ranks in the bottom 3% of Tennessee districts. Today, Compass outperforms its district in every tested subject and matches state averages in math and ELA.
