This is a residential institution that takes children with different troubles. It is in a gorgeous log cabin, forested setting. Staff is wonderful. They are great with the children and the parents. Very expensive but they do take medicaid. My son had been taken out of the classroom for aggression issues and put one-on-one with a teacher for part of the 3rd grade and all of 4th grade. When they weren't willing to try to reintegrate him into the classroom setting for 5th grade, I appealed their decision and found out about this place. (How is a kid going to learn to get along with others if he doesn't even have a chance to try?) And boy am I glad I did!!! It was the best thing I could have ever done for him. He was released after 6 months (the minimum stay) fully integrated into a classroom setting and cooperative. Now in 12th grade, he's never had any more difficulties in school. Parents fight for your children to get the right treatment that HELPS them and doesn't just isolate them. Close Quote
