Summary:
Warwick has 17 schools serving students from preschool through high school: 13 elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools; most elementary schools serve kindergarten through grade 5. In 2025–26, elementary averages were close to state results in ELA, math, and science, while the two middle schools and two high schools showed different strengths. The most important finding for families is that results vary considerably from school to school, even when the area-wide averages look similar to the state’s.
Among elementary schools, Robertson led in ELA at 48.8%, and Scott led in math at 50.0%; Cedar Hill led in science at 50.0%. Each was about 16–19 percentage points above the state in its leading subject. At the other end, Oakland Beach scored 19.3% in ELA, 20.0% in math, and 12.0% in science—14, 12, and 19 points below state rates. Winman outperformed Warwick Veterans in all three middle-school subjects, especially math (44.2% versus 25.8%). At the high-school level, Pilgrim led Toll Gate in reported SAT and PSAT10 subjects; both schools had graduation rates above 95%. SchoolDigger rates Scott and Robertson four stars, while Oakland Beach has one star.
Recent changes are mixed: elementary averages rose from 2024–25 to 2025–26 by 0.6 points in ELA, 1.6 in math, and 2.7 in science, but some schools declined; for example, Park fell 11.6 points in math while Lippitt gained 16.5. Middle-school averages improved most in science (+10.9 points). High-school PSAT10 results rose at both schools, while SAT averages fell, with grade-11 math particularly low at 12.6% compared with 23.5% statewide. School context measures do not form a simple performance pattern: listed free/reduced-lunch rates range from 26.42% at Cedar Hill to about 49% at Robertson and Scott, both of which have strong results. Scores can also vary by grade within a school, so available grade-specific results may add useful context when comparing options.
