Open Quote Quality of teachers is very spotty - some disengaged, others seem to genuinely care. Our child is diagnosed as on the Autism spectrum and our experience is that Teachers and Principal especially do not support IEP. While available Special Education services apparently are strong , there seems to be great conflict between the Spec Ed and Regular Staff leading to non-implementation of IEP initiatives. Principal is underqualified to deal with Special Education circumstances as he admittedly has never worked with having a TSS in the classroom(for example) and related challenges and has not contributed experience or knowledge- based suggestions. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
