Summary

Tulsa Classical Academy Elementary School is a public charter school serving 657 students in grades K-8 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The school is part of the Tulsa Classical Academy (Charter) District, which is ranked 135 out of 452 districts in the state and has a 4-star rating. While the school has seen fluctuations in its statewide ranking, going from 174th out of 389 elementary schools in 2023-2024 to 300th out of 614 in 2024-2025, it maintains a 3-star rating.

Tulsa Classical Academy Elementary School generally outperforms nearby Jenks, Union, and Tulsa public schools in terms of test scores, particularly in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics. However, the school's performance is lower than the highly-ranked Bixby North Elementary School and some of the top-performing Union schools like Andersen Elementary and Darnaby Elementary. The school's chronic absenteeism rate has also seen a significant increase, from 6.7% in 2024-2025 to 19.0% in 2024-2025, which is higher than the state average of 7.2%.

Overall, Tulsa Classical Academy Elementary School is a solid choice for families seeking a high-quality public charter school option in the Tulsa area, but there is room for improvement to reach the level of the top-performing schools in the region. The school should focus on addressing the increase in chronic absenteeism and exploring strategies to improve the performance of all student subgroups.

Open Quote Former student I was there for the first year of this shitshow before I moved to a (much better) private school because I was so incredibly miserable at Tulsa Classical. I've been to a lot of schools, and TCA was, by far, the worst. Don't send your kids here if you think men and women or equal or fascism is bad. If you like Trump, you'll probably love this school, so... go right ahead. Close Quote
