Despite the school's higher-than-average per-student spending, its challenges may not be solely due to a lack of funding, and the small size and high percentage of low-income students may be contributing factors to its underperformance.

Open Quote Soper is a really good school with teachers that truly care for the students as their own. I just graduated there in May, 2018, and I would like to be a coach/teacher there one of these days. They don't have a huge ethnic diversity but that's just because no kids of different ethnicity gets sent there. Nobody gets treated any differently from the next person and they are always looking to grow their school! I do believe that it is very awesome school with not a whole lot of problems!
