Summary:

Six schools serve Sapulpa families: four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. In 2025–2026, the elementary schools averaged 26% in ELA I, 33% in Math and 31% in Science, compared with state results of 26%, 25% and 30%. Those averages hide large differences between schools, and the all-grade figures combine different grade spans rather than providing a grade-adjusted comparison. The most important takeaway is that elementary performance varies sharply from one Sapulpa school to another.

Freedom Elementary School was the clear elementary leader, with 37% in ELA I, 59% in Math and 60% in Science—11, 34 and 30 points above state results. At the other end, Jefferson Heights Elementary School scored 16%, 12% and 11%, respectively, 10, 13 and 19 points below the state. SchoolDigger ranked Freedom at the 90th percentile with four stars and Jefferson Heights at the 15th percentile with one star. Liberty Elementary School stands out for especially low chronic absenteeism: 3.9% in 2025–2026, compared with 15.9% statewide. Sapulpa High School had a mixed profile: ELA I and U.S. History were above state results, while Math and Science were below.

Recent changes were mixed, not a consistent improvement across the schools: Freedom’s Science rose 12 points while Math fell 8; Sapulpa High’s Science rose 7 and Math rose 5; and Holmes Park Elementary School’s Science fell 13 points. Family context also differs: in 2024–2025, free/reduced lunch eligible students made up 51% at Freedom and 81% at Jefferson Heights. Their student-teacher ratios were 16.8 and 14.5, while Liberty’s was 12.8; these figures describe context, not what causes test results. Sapulpa High’s 2024–2025 graduation rate was 69%, 9 points below the state’s 78%.
