The district as a whole sits at the 82nd percentile, however, so Stingley is a mid-pack building within its own district.

Stingley's signature strength is reading. Its three-grade average in English language arts was 80.9% proficient versus 70.6% in math — roughly the opposite of its district's math-leaning profile. Third grade ELA is the standout: 86.4% proficient in 2025–26 and between 86% and 93% for four straight years, well above both the district and the state. The school also serves its special-education students unusually well, ranking in the 80th percentile — higher than its own 72nd-percentile overall rank — and its student–teacher ratio improved from 20.8 to 16.8 in two years. Notably, it sits above the state average in every subject and grade it tests, and it does so with fewer students and a smaller class size than Weller Elementary School and Dr John Hole Elementary School, which rank higher.

The clearest weakness is 5th grade math, where 60.5% tested proficient — 15.8 points below the district and the lowest figure among nearby schools including Dr John Hole Elementary School (90.2%), Weller Elementary School (80.7%), W O Cline Elementary School (73.2%) and Normandy Elementary School (70.6%). That gap has widened over four years. Male students (63rd percentile) trail female students (81st–83rd) by a wide margin, and gifted-and-talented students rank below the 50th percentile.
