Mohawk Local is a small Ohio district with just two schools: Mohawk Elementary School, serving PK–6 with 518 students, and Mohawk High School, serving grades 7–12 with 356 students — 874 students in all. Because there is no standalone middle school, the high school's results combine 7th and 8th grade tests with high school end-of-course exams. Mohawk Local ranks 123 of 773 districts statewide, in the 84th percentile with 4 stars.

Mohawk Elementary School is the academic standout, especially in math. In 2025–2026, all 9 reported tests came in above the state proficiency rate, averaging about 82.0% versus roughly 62.1% for the state. Math scores ranged from 87.2% to 95%, including 4th grade math at 95% against a state rate of 67.3% and 6th grade math at 89.4% versus 56.2%.
