Franklin Monroe Local is a small Ohio district in Arcanum with just 2 schools serving about 571 students — an elementary school for grades PK–6 and a high school for grades 7–12 — both located at the same Oakes Road campus, so grades 7–8 are part of the high school data. The district ranks 200 out of 773 districts statewide, in the 74th percentile with 4 stars.
Franklin Monroe Elementary School is the academic standout. In 2025–2026 it ranked 280 out of 1,560 elementary schools (82nd percentile, 4 stars), after 94th percentile with 5 stars in 2024–2025 and 91st percentile with 5 stars in 2023–2024 — still strong, but sliding from a very high base.
