United Local is a two-school Ohio district with United Elementary School serving grades K–8 and United High School serving grades 9–12, enrolling 972 students total.

Between the two schools, United Elementary School is currently the stronger academic performer. It has earned 3 stars for three straight years, scored above the state in 13 of 15 listed 2025–26 tests, and kept chronic absenteeism at 11.6%—below the district’s 13.2% and the high school’s 17.1%. Its standout results include 8th grade math at 79.3% vs. state 52.0%, 4th grade math at 79.5%, 5th grade ELA at 80.3%, and 100% proficient in Algebra I End of Course. Its clearest weak spot is 6th grade: math is 50.7% vs. state 56.2%, and ELA is 47.8% vs. state 56.0%.
