i used to attend nativity and in my opinion it was a poorly run school. don't be fooled by the principal's behavior, he is a very despicable man. he would give you a conduct referral for anything. and as far as the teachers they were never concerned about the children's education. Close Quote

i started at nativity in the 3rd grade .the first year it opened for business. i was an alter boy so i held one of the candles behind the cardinal. i have an official program and a class photo from that year,i think it was 1955 or 1956. i didn't finish at nativity by mutual agreement between the principal and my folks it was about kissing a girl on the way home from west point. i really liked the sisters sister ricarda was the principal at that time. i also served the last mass in the old church which was on secor ave. i don't know what is there now. the cause of the fire was found to be wiring in the big organ. people came from all over the parish most of the women and some men. i miss nativity and i loved dyre ave. and seton falls park which to a child was like disney world there were so many things to do there especially in the winter snows. so thats about it. if i remember more i'll let you know Close Quote
