Metropolitan Montessori School

MMS is a small, nurturing school focused on early childhood and elementary education which is just what we wanted for our children. They have thrived at the school academically and emotionally and have developed close relationships with their teachers and classmates across the 3 year age span of the classroom. MMS takes pride in being academically rigorous while meeting each child at his or her developmental place. Their focus on the whole child both prepares them for the rigors of their future schooling and allows them to really remain children, free after school to explore and play.

My son is just completing his first 3 year Montessori cycle at MMS and it's been incredible. Throughout the 3 years, his knowledgable and empathetic teachers have helped him grow from a nervous 3 year old to a confident, well rounded learner. The school and staff take pride in helping children become emotionally intelligent as well as independent life long lovers of learning. In addition, the small school size, frequent communication, and community-oriented philosophy makes it feel like a family. Having seen how articulate, internally-driven, and kind the 6th graders are, I feel confident that we've made the right choice for our son's education.
