The school has a higher percentage of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, with 45.13% to 52.2% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch in recent years. These nearby schools also have lower percentages of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, suggesting that factors beyond just resources may be contributing to the performance differences.

Open Quote I am very saddened to see the numbers of the elementary school declining so. When my children went there, it was what every parent hoped for, for their child. The teachers were very involved in my children's education and gave me pointers on how to help them succeed. I can't help but wonder if the retirement of certain key teachers like Marti Martin and Judi Raml or the death of Cassie Bronson has anything to do with the decline. With numbers like these, I wonder how they will do in high school. In my experience, once they get into the high school, they are left to fend for themselves, unless of course you are on the "chosen" list. In my experience, the high school is plagued by favoritism and undeserved arrogance. Close Quote
