It is part of the New York City Geographic District #20, which is ranked 249 out of 874 districts in New York and has a 4-star rating from SchoolDigger.

The Academy Of Talented Scholars (The) has a strong performance history, consistently ranking in the top 10% of New York elementary schools in recent years. In the 2022-2023 school year, it ranked 201 out of 2,439 New York elementary schools and received a 5-star rating from SchoolDigger. The school's performance has been relatively consistent, with rankings in the top 20-30% of New York elementary schools over the past decade. This consistent high performance is particularly noteworthy given the school's relatively high percentage of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

The school's exceptional performance for its Special Education and English Language Learner (ELL) student populations is a standout feature, indicating that the school is effectively meeting the needs of these students and providing them with the resources and support they require to succeed. However, the school's performance for its Hispanic student subgroup is relatively weaker, suggesting an opportunity to further support and improve the academic outcomes for this student population. The Academy Of Talented Scholars (The)'s higher per-student spending and lower student-to-teacher ratios compared to nearby schools may contribute to its strong academic performance, as smaller class sizes and greater resource allocation can enable more personalized and targeted instruction.

Open Quote This is an excellent school that focuses on the whole child development. Great leadership by the founding principal and her amazing staff. The school not only focus on academics ,but place strong emphasis on social and emotional learning. Both of my children are product of this school. I would do it all over again! Close Quote
