Summary

Dailey Jack Elementary School is a public elementary school in Las Vegas, Nevada, serving 494 students in grades PK-5. The school is part of the Clark County School District, which is ranked 5 out of 12 districts in the state and has a 4-star rating from SchoolDigger. However, Dailey Jack Elementary School has seen a decline in its statewide ranking, dropping from 158 out of 351 Nevada elementary schools in 2016-2017 to its current ranking of 311 out of 379 in 2024-2025.

The school faces significant challenges in terms of academic performance, with proficiency rates in mathematics and reading well below the state and district averages. In 2024-2025, the school's proficiency rates were 23.3% in mathematics and 32.7% in reading, compared to the state averages of 35.4% and 45.6%, respectively. Additionally, the school has consistently high chronic absenteeism rates, ranging from 25.6% to 31.3% over the past few years, significantly higher than the state and district averages. Despite the school's relatively high spending per student, which has increased from $9,547 in 2018-2019 to $12,755 in 2021-2022, its academic outcomes continue to lag behind.

When compared to nearby schools within the same district, Tomiyasu Bill Y Elementary School, located about 2 miles away, has significantly higher proficiency rates in both mathematics and reading. This suggests that factors beyond just funding, such as instructional practices, school leadership, and community engagement, may be contributing to the challenges faced by Dailey Jack Elementary School. Addressing these issues will likely require a comprehensive approach that addresses both school-level and community-level factors.

Open Quote They are biased they cater to the non english speaking families, and could care about anyone else's child. The principal is never around when you need her. You will be dismissed by the office staff unless of course you are latino and speak no english. Reviews are manipulated on there Facebook page to make them seem like a great school. Close Quote

Open Quote This school discriminates and they are in favor of helping non english speaking parents and students. I took my child out of this school because i felt he wasn't benefiting there. Close Quote

Open Quote low budget, raggedy, poor, and have the nerve to wear school uniforms to try to look the part of a more prestige school. Close Quote
