Open Quote At Manzano Day School, you are allowed to pay top price for a mediocre education. The years my children spent at Manzano left them unprepared for upper grades at other schools and I wish I had listened to other parents who told me that this very thing would happen. It looks beautiful on the outside, but on the inside one finds middling teachers and a poor administration who are more interested in how much you will donate (on top of the $14K tuition) than in investing in education. Save your money and go to a far Northeast Heights public school. Close Quote

Open Quote Our daughter has done well in this environment. She is doing more here than she would be in public. The school provides a lot of screening which has helped us to find a learning issue that would have gone overlooked at a public school. Overall we are happy with this school. Close Quote

Open Quote Manzano Day School is a terrible school. It is academically unacceptable--the students do not receive a good education and many children leave the institution needing extra help for math and writing skills. The school had a good reputation for many years but the current administration is overly focussed on how much money they can get out of parents and grandparents (in addition to the $13K+ per year for tuition). There are many better options in Albuquerque--Manzano is not what it used to be. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
