Open Quote This school's environment is toxic. Bullying is rampant and ignored. Selfish administrators are deceitful and are often elitist. Because there is no sports program, EVCA chooses to make homework the new sport, a sport which ate away hours of my child's time and happiness. If you have a happy, well-adjusted child, keep him out of EVCA. Close Quote

Open Quote The curriculum is great, they really push the kids but they pride themselves on the "rigorous" and "willing" piece of their mission so any kid not performing well is deemed not "willing" and they will just leave them behind. I have seen teachers take away essential tools such as a writing board because a child (in kindergarten) is not on task so they are then unable to complete the assignment. They demand the student is on task all the time, even when my daughter had a 102 fever she got in trouble for not being on task. The teachers are very unwelcoming to parents and even though volunteering is a requirement they often make it difficult to volunteer, the office staff will not communicate with you when you are volunteering. My children all told me mom I don't want to go to school there, anywhere but there! Their teacher even made them hold their cupcakes another student passed out for a birthday while they were being picked up rather than allowing 10 minutes to let them eat them in class (3rd grade).
