The clearest area-wide concern is math, where the average shortfall was 19 points, compared with 13 points in ELA.

Laurel Springs School led ELA in grades 3, 5 and 6, but its latest math results in grades 3–5 were below state results. Overall results were essentially flat relative to the state between years, but individual grades changed sharply: John H. Glenn’s 3rd-grade ELA rose 35 points, while Laurel Springs’ 5th-grade ELA fell 31 points. SchoolDigger places Clementon at the 43rd state percentile and Laurel Springs at the 40th. Clementon also has the lowest reported student–teacher ratio, 9.5, while Overbrook Senior High School and Laurel Springs are at 13.2; the figures do not show a simple relationship between ratio and results. All schools report free/reduced lunch eligible for 2024–2025, ranging from 25% at Laurel Springs to 89% at Lindenwold School Four. These characteristics offer context, not an explanation for school results.
