Open Quote This is a fantastic HS. They had a rough go in the past but have come back strong with very exciting tracks. They have sports, of course, theater arts, Project Lead the way Engineering, a Fully outfitted Maker's space, AP Classes, Robotics class, and FRC Team 8714.

It is a family atmosphere. The Teachers and staff know each student and their family. My Son gets one on one interactions with his teachers every day to keep him up to date on his work and help with the hard stuff. No other school has time built into the day for extra help. He enjoys Robotics and PLTW so much he is looking into engineering schools from a kid that once hated math.

I read some of the low reviews. I chalk it up to you getting what you put into your education. The teachers are always going above and beyond to help the kids master the material. They do not just give out good grades "just because". It is up to the Kid to seek help. All of their teachers are true professionals. They strive to get the kids away from the "Comfort Zone" and the phone.

PS We are not Catholic or religious. We find everyone welcoming and caring without any issue. Close Quote

Open Quote The school is so lenient with homework your child will barely ever have to turn it in if at all.
So many teachers did the school barely actually teach their class they just give students assignments and sit down without actually teaching them. Brendan Shea and Nicholas Petrillo are two examples. they give assignments like they're actually following a curriculum but you don't know how to do anything in them. The new principal of the school Debra Serafin probably has to be the worst principal to ever work at the school. She very clearly values the female students over the male students and has done nothing to improve the school in any way. I have not met one person at this school who could be called a respectable individual. The only way to school teaches kids with learning disabilities differently is just giving them better grades. When students are bullied at the school no one does anything there have been several students that have been bullied a lot and the school has done nothing to stop it. The wrong kids get in trouble. Unless you're a football player you are probably not going to be treated with much care and that is really all the schools used for, football they don't care about their students at all and we teachers like Brendan Shea or Nicholas Petrillo teaching students will come out of AP classes and religion classes not having learned anything. Brendan Shea acts like he teaches his class and give them the assignments without having taught them anything. This being an AP class is really damaging to freshmen students who are forced to take his class, inmate thinks that this is what all AP classes are like. he also gives all of his tests on a computer which makes it laughably easy to cheat on them. There are also multiple students that partake in self destructive activities i.e. anorexia, self harm. Close Quote
