Summary

Warren County Vocational Technical School is a public high school located in Washington, New Jersey, serving grades 9-12 with a total enrollment of 406 students. The school is part of the Warren County Vocational Technical School District, which is ranked 347 out of 609 districts in New Jersey and has a 2-star rating from SchoolDigger.

The school's performance, as measured by its statewide ranking and SchoolDigger rating, has been inconsistent over the years, with significant fluctuations. Its student performance on standardized tests in core subjects like English Language Arts and Mathematics is notably lower than the state averages and the nearby high-performing schools, such as Hackettstown High School, Delaware Valley Regional High School, and North Hunterdon High School, which have maintained higher and more consistent rankings and ratings, ranging from 3 to 4 stars.

However, the school's relatively low percentage of free and reduced-price lunch recipients and its vocational focus may present opportunities for the school to differentiate itself and potentially attract students seeking a more specialized educational experience. The school's diverse student population, with higher percentages of Hispanic and Special Education students, suggests the need for targeted interventions and strategies to address the academic performance challenges and improve its standing among the state's high schools.

Open Quote Warren County Vo-Tech has improved tremendously over the past 4 years that I have had a child in attendance there. I now have two children in attendance and my oldest will graduate this June with honors. She has been accepted into college with several academic and service oriented scholarships. Her success is greatly due to the dedication and caring of the staff at Warren County Vo-Tech. The school has improved academically adding new programs, more honors classes, etc. I feel there is less violence, bullying, etc. at Tech than the surrounding high schools and much greater acceptance of all students by their peers regardless of their interests, social status, etc. My children have and are benefiting greatly from their experience at Warren County Vo-Tech. This school deserves a new evaluation which I am confident will result in a much higher ranking. Close Quote
