Roosevelt School serves 474 students in grades K–6 in River Edge, New Jersey, as part of the River Edge School District. Results are well above state averages across every tested grade and subject, but performance varies by grade. Fifth grade is the clearest achievement strength: Roosevelt outperformed the state, its district, and nearby-school averages in ELA, math, and science.

Fifth grade is also where Roosevelt most clearly stands out locally: its proficiency rates were 85% in ELA, 83% in math, and 58% in science, respectively 16, 22, and 20 percentage points above nearby-school averages. Compared with the state, the school was ahead in every tested grade and subject, by 22.3 to 37.8 percentage points. No anti-bullying policy actually taking place in this school. If kids are bullying your child you won’t get help from school administration, neither classroom teacher nor principal. Parents of those kids are also ignorant and don’t listen. Principal doesn’t keep his promise to place your child apart from bullies for the next year and states “he is not a psychologist” to talk to a bullies’ parents. Our family had to pay for private school because he didn’t keep his promise and said that “there is nothing can be done at this point”. Even though it was clearly his fault. Absolutely unprofessional and indifferent school staff with few exceptions within teachers. We had to move out of town because of this traumatic experience. Few years later and my child is still not recovered from the psychological damage that was don by his classmates. Shame on you, Roosevelt school! Close Quote
