Summary

Summerfield Elementary School serves 389 students in PK–5 in Neptune, within the Neptune Township School District. Its 2025–26 test results show a sharp divide between grades: fourth graders scored 58% proficient in math and 55% in English Language Arts (ELA), while fifth graders scored 27% in math and 41% in ELA. The most important finding for families is that fourth grade is a clear strength, but fifth-grade math is a pronounced concern.

Across grades 3–5, Summerfield averaged 46% proficient in ELA, 42% in math and 24% in science. Those results were below state averages by 3, 6 and 3 percentage points, respectively, but above the district averages by 9, 16 and 11 points.
