Summary:

The Chesterfield Township School District has one school, Chesterfield Township Elementary School, serving prekindergarten through grade 6 and 675 students in Chesterfield Township. In 2025–2026, the school’s average proficiency across grades 3–6 was 63% in English language arts (ELA) and 60% in mathematics, compared with state averages of 49% and 46%. The most important takeaway is that the school was about 14 percentage points above the state in both subjects.

Within the school, grade 6 stood out, while grade 5 ELA and grade 4 mathematics were closest to state results. Grade 6 proficiency was 77% in ELA, 26 points above the state, and 66% in mathematics, 25 points above. By contrast, grade 5 ELA was 55%, 3 points above the state, and grade 4 mathematics was 51%, 4 points above. Grade 5 science was 29%, just 2 points above the state. Since this is the only school in the district list, there is no other district school to compare as a top or bottom performer.

Results improved overall in ELA and mathematics from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, but not in every grade or subject. The school’s ELA average rose 4 points and its math average rose 10 points; its lead over the state grew from 7 to 14 points in ELA and from 4 to 14 points in math. Grade 5 science was an exception: proficiency fell from 47% to 29%, narrowing the school’s state lead from 17 points to 2. SchoolDigger’s ranking also improved, from 555th of 1,338 schools (59th percentile) in 2023–2024 to 405th of 1,331 (70th percentile) in 2025–2026. As context, in 2024–2025, 6% of students were eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, the student–teacher ratio was 10.4:1, and chronic absenteeism was 9%, compared with 14% statewide.
