Middleton School District

Middleton Elementary School is the only public school in the Middleton School District, serving students from Pre-K through Grade 6 in Middleton, New Hampshire. The school enrolls about 155 students and has an 11:1 student-teacher ratio, while the area has no separate middle school, high school, or alternative school listed.

For families, Middleton Elementary offers a small-school setting with relatively favorable staffing levels. Parents may also find the recent trend encouraging: mathematics improved by 10 points and reading by 16 points from the prior year, and the school’s statewide ranking rose from the 19th to the 45th percentile over three years. However, science declined sharply, from 43% to 23%, making fifth-grade achievement and science instruction the most important areas to monitor.
