The Londonderry School District has four elementary schools serving students from Pre-K through Grade 5 in the Londonderry area. Matthew Thornton Elementary School is the largest school, with 537 students, and has also made steady progress, improving from the 41st to the 59th percentile. However, its current proficiency rates—61% in mathematics, 53% in reading, and 35% in science—trail the other two Grades 1–5 schools, making reading and science the clearest areas for additional support. Across the three tested schools, mathematics is strongest at about 66% proficiency, followed by reading at 61% and science at 43%. Moose Hill is not directly comparable because it serves only younger students and has no reported state ranking or assessment results.
