North Iredell Middle in Olin, NC, serves 556 students in grades 6–8 as part of Iredell-Statesville Schools, a district earning 3 stars statewide. The school recently ranked 476 out of 778 North Carolina middle schools (39th percentile, 2 stars), placing it in the middle of the pack among nearby schools — ahead of same-district schools like Third Creek Middle and East Iredell Middle, but well behind North Davie Middle and Oakwood Middle IB School.

A genuine standout is attendance. Despite serving a population where nearly every family qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch, North Iredell Middle's chronic absenteeism rate is just 15.2% — far better than the state rate of 24.2% and much better than nearby West Iredell Middle (27.6%), East Iredell Middle (29.6%), and Third Creek Middle (32.2%). It is also a dramatic improvement from 44.9% a few years earlier.
