Open Quote Would you like to pay premium prices for a Montessori education but receive subpar results, teachers who shrug their shoulders when your child struggles, and a head of school who lacks communication skills? Then we have the school for you! Bozeman Summit is in constant financial trouble in spite of charging just over $900 a head per month for tuition and constantly pressures its community to fundraise for its own lack of ability to handle its finances. It does make one wonder what has happened to all the tuition dollars over the years. It isn't as though they actually hire teachers who are Montessori trained. The head of school isn't even Montessori trained, she can't even speak in front of a crowd of parents and children without stumbling about her words let alone maintain eye contact. And forget about communicating with her via email, turning on her computer isn't a strength of hers.

Let's not forget the school calendar, or should we say, the lack of instructional days. This school takes off so many "holidays" and "in-service days" and half-days for whatever random reason they can come up with that you may receive on average 17-18 instructional days in a month versus the possible 20-21. If you are a parent or a set of parents who have to work you better have a backup plan for the lack of instructional days. You know, just so your childcare costs can push past $1000 a month.

Don't let the beautiful building and grounds fool you, this school will be run right into the ground if they don't make drastic changes quickly. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
