Whitefish Christian Academy

What a fantastic school! WCA challenges our children not only to be outstanding students but also outstanding citizens. While it is Christian based, it is non-denominational and so, no particular Christian agenda is being pushed other than being Christ-like to others. This starts in the classroom and extends out into the community. I also love that our children are learning Latin as it really is the basis for so many other languages including English. They stress this connection by learning complex and common words with Latin derivations. My kids absolutely adore history and come home with interesting facts I don't think I ever learned in school. At WCA, our kids have learned a love of learning!

WCA is an amazing school and extended family. We were new to the area this year, and they made us feel right at home. Our daughter has grown mentally, physically, spiritually and socially this past year and learned so much. We can't wait for the 2013/2014 school year!

WCA is a classical Christian school, grades PS-8. The school offers rigorous academics in a very friendly environment. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the school and are welcome on campus at anytime. The school offers a robust history curriculum starting in the first grade and Latin (5 days per week) starting in the third grade. The children are consistently scoring grade levels ahead on standardized testing. The school allows and values parental input while maintaining a commitment to their vision and mission statements. I have been very involved in the school for the past 6 years. I have witnessed the board of directors and staff continue to assess the school to ensure the school is doing the best job possible. The school recognizes and encourages good character in its students. I have witnessed children (even those who have struggled in the past) rise to the challenge expected by the staff as far as behavior and academics.
