Summary

Green Tree Elementary is a public elementary school located in Lake St Louis, Missouri, serving 628 students in grades K-5 and part of the Wentzville R-IV School District, which is ranked 42 out of 367 districts in the state.

Green Tree Elementary has consistently ranked among the top 20% of Missouri elementary schools in recent years, with strong academic performance across Mathematics, Science, and English Language Arts. The school's students outperform their peers in the district and state, particularly for African American and disabled student populations. However, the school's performance for low socioeconomic status students is relatively weaker, an area the school and district should address. Green Tree Elementary also experiences a higher chronic absenteeism rate compared to the district and state averages, which may impact student learning.

Compared to nearby schools, Green Tree Elementary generally outperforms other Wentzville R-IV elementary schools in academic performance, but some schools in the Fort Zumwalt School District demonstrate even stronger proficiency rates, particularly in Mathematics and English Language Arts. The Fort Zumwalt schools also have lower chronic absenteeism rates, which may contribute to their higher academic achievement.

Open Quote Green Tree has SOME fantastic teachers. The constant changing of Asst Principals is concerning. The Administration doesn't always make themselves available like some of the other district's schools. If you have a child in Special Ed, watch out! I don't recommend this school. The Administration is always changing things up to the detriment of the students and teachers. Some of the teachers are not friendly. Some of them seem miserable. But with all of the constant flux of people going in and out of there, it's no wonder. The really good teachers seem to get their hands tied while the ones who should be watched more carefully have free reign. Close Quote
