Summary

Bellerive Elementary is a public elementary school located in Creve Coeur, Missouri, serving 430 students in grades K-5. It is part of the Parkway C-2 School District, which is ranked 39 out of 367 districts in Missouri and has a 4-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Bellerive Elementary consistently ranks among the top 30% of Missouri elementary schools, with strong academic performance on state assessments, particularly in mathematics and English language arts. The school's performance is generally above the state and district averages. However, Bellerive's chronic absenteeism rate, ranging from 12.5% to 17.1%, is higher than the state and district averages, which may be impacting the school's overall academic success. The school spends around $13,000 to $14,000 per student, slightly higher than the district average, and maintains a relatively low student-teacher ratio of 13.1 to 13.6 students per teacher.

Compared to nearby Shenandoah Valley Elementary, Green Trails Elementary, and River Bend Elementary, Bellerive Elementary's academic performance is generally stronger. However, the nearby Ladue School District's Spoede Elementary outperforms Bellerive on most academic measures. Addressing the root causes of Bellerive's higher-than-average chronic absenteeism rate could be a focus for the school and district.

Open Quote Appreciate the Suzuki Violin lessons available beginning at 3rd grade. Well balanced and established school. Full-day Kindergarten is free in this district, 9:05AM-4PM. Kindergarten students bring their own headphones and work with computers. 3rd grade students may sit on exercise balls to work their 'wiggles' in lieu of traditional chairs. Many classrooms are split by 'pods', which seem to enable children to study and negotiate with others in a busy environment with purposeful, scheduled distractions. Close Quote

Open Quote We love this school! The teachers and staff are readily accessible and they do value parent input. The PTO is also very active and does a good amount of fundraising throughout the year to purchase additional items for the school. They raised money to install smart boards in all of the classrooms; Bellerive was the first school in the district to have them. I love that this school also practices inclusion, with students of varying abilites in each classroom. Close Quote
