The Win-E-Mac School District in Erskine, Minnesota, serves roughly 458 students across two schools: Win-E-Mac Elementary, covering PK–6 with 247 students, and Win-E-Mac Secondary, covering grades 7–12 with 211 students. There is no separate middle or alternative school in this district. District-wide, Win-E-Mac ranks 138th of 458 Minnesota districts — the 70th percentile — with 4 stars.

The two schools are moving in opposite directions. Win-E-Mac Secondary is the standout, ranking 28th of 473 Minnesota high schools in 2025–26 (94th percentile, 5 stars) after reaching the 95th percentile the year before. Its upper-grade results are strong: 11th-grade math 50% proficient vs. the state's 35.3%, 10th-grade reading 58.1% vs. 42.5%, and science end-of-course 51.2% vs. 35%. Both schools saw reading decline from 2024–25 to 2025–26 — elementary from 53.73% to 44.0%, secondary from 52.34% to 43.9% — leaving district reading at 43.9%, below the state's 48.6%. District math (51.1%) and science (27.1%) sit above state averages. Notably, secondary serves more students from low-income families (43.13% free/reduced lunch vs. 33.6%) and has a larger student-teacher ratio (18.0 vs. 15.2) while still ranking far higher. With only two schools and small enrollments, year-to-year swings can reflect cohort changes, but the patterns are clear: elementary math is a strength, secondary's upper grades and state rank are strong, and reading plus secondary completion rates need attention.
