Minneota Public School District is a small, high-performing district in southwestern Minnesota serving 554 students across just two schools — Minneota Elementary for grades PK–6 and Minneota Secondary for grades 7–12 — with no middle school and no alternative school. The district ranks 21st of 458 Minnesota districts, in the 95th percentile, and both schools hold 5 stars in every listed rank-history year.

The two schools have different strengths. Minneota Elementary is a math and reading powerhouse: 72.7% proficient in math and 69.6% in reading in 2025-2026, well above the district (60.3% and 59.5%) and state (44.9% and 48.6%).
