Summary:

STRIDE Academy is a single-school district in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, and that one school — STRIDE Academy Elementary — serves grades K–4 with 569 students enrolled. Because there is only one school, it represents the entire public-school footprint of STRIDE Academy. The school is a high-need one: 83.66% of students qualified for free/reduced lunch in 2024–2025, and the student-to-teacher ratio was 10.2, a relatively favorable figure. At the district level, STRIDE Academy ranks 439 of 458 Minnesota districts, in the 4th percentile with 0 stars.

Academically, STRIDE Academy Elementary trails Minnesota by wide margins. In 2025–2026, all-grade math proficiency was 25.8% versus 44.9% statewide, and all-grade reading was 15.5% versus 48.6% statewide. Grade-level results follow the same pattern: 3rd-grade math was 35.2% (state 57.9%), 4th-grade math 16.5% (state 55.2%), 3rd-grade reading 16.7% (state 46.8%), and 4th-grade reading 14.3% (state 48.8%). Science is the weakest area: in 2024–2025, proficiency was 6.92% against 26.15% statewide — under 10%. The school ranked 811 of 869 schools in 2025–2026, the 7th percentile with 0 stars, down from 740 of 872 in 2024–2025.

Two trends stand out for parents. First, the gaps differ by subject: in 2025–2026 reading fell 33.1 points below the state while math fell 19.1 points, making reading the larger shortfall. Second, the subjects moved in opposite directions year over year — all-grade math rose from 16.46% to 25.8% (about 9.3 points), while all-grade reading dropped from 26.23% to 15.5% (about 10.7 points). Third graders also outperformed fourth graders in both tested subjects. Note that “all grades” figures likely cover only the tested grades 3 and 4, even though the school enrolls K–4.
