Two Harbors, Minnesota has 2 schools in the Lake Superior Public School District: Two Harbors Secondary, which is labeled a high school but serves grades 6–12 with 597 students, and Minnehaha Elementary, serving grades PK–5 with 367 students, for a combined enrollment of 964; because the area has no standalone middle school, middle-grade students attend the secondary building, and the district overall ranks 236 of 458 schools, in the 48th percentile, at 2 stars.
Minnehaha Elementary is the stronger academic performer. In 2025–26 it ranks 341 of 869, in the 61st percentile with 3 stars, with All Grades math at 45.9%, reading at 59.9% and science at 25.4% — above the district in all three subjects, above the state in reading (48.6%) and roughly at the state level in science (25.5%). Two Harbors Secondary ranks 233 of 473, in the 51st percentile with 3 stars, and stands out instead for completion: a graduation rate of 89.7%, above the district’s 88.4% and the state’s 84.9%, and a dropout rate of 1.2%, far below the state’s 4.2%.
