Portland High School in Portland, MI, is a mid-sized public high school serving 665 students in grades 9-12 within the Portland Public Schools district, and it has recently earned a 3-star rating after a dramatic one-year turnaround.

The most striking news for parents is the school's remarkable improvement in keeping students on track. In just one year, the graduation rate jumped from 79.4% to 89.5%, now surpassing the state average of 84.0%. Even more dramatic, the dropout rate plummeted from 11.4% to just 1.7%—far below the state's 7.1% average.
