Colon High School is a small, rural public school in Colon, MI, serving 271 students in grades 6 through 12 as part of the Colon Community School District.

The most exciting news for parents is the school's dramatic turnaround in graduation rates. In just two years, the graduation rate jumped from a critically low 48.7% to an impressive 91.1%, while the dropout rate fell from 29.2% to just 2.9%. This improvement now puts Colon on par with higher-performing neighbors like Three Rivers High School (95.2%) and Centreville Junior Senior High School (98.2%). However, this success feels fragile because chronic absenteeism remains very high at 36.3%—well above the state average of 27.9% and among the worst in the area. If your child struggles with attendance, this is a school where that issue is widespread, and it could threaten the recent gains.

Academically, Colon shows a "tale of two subjects." The school shines in 8th-grade English Language Arts, with 66.7% proficiency, beating the state average, and 11th graders also outperform state averages in Science (38.5%) and Social Studies (44.4%). I go to colon high school and I'm am in the 11th grade I do not believe this is a bad school because it has a lot of potential, but I do think the way things a ran here are very poor. I think the there was a new person in charge this school could do something grate it has many awesome teachers that are more then ready to help you, but when it come to the principle there needs to be a change, shes not the brightest, she talks about your personal problems if front of others and is very uncaring for then most part.
