Arbor Preparatory High School is a small public high school in Ypsilanti, MI, serving 278 students in grades 9-12, where over half of the student body qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.

If you're considering Arbor Prep, the most important thing to understand is that its performance has been a rollercoaster in recent years. The school's statewide ranking swung from the 19th percentile in 2023-2024, up to the 51st percentile in 2024-2025, and then dropped back down to the 30th percentile in 2025-2026. This volatility is likely due to its small size, where the performance of just a few students can dramatically shift percentages. Arbor Prep has no consistency with the administration and teachers and what they are teaching the kids. When your kid gets to college, they will find out all that they were not taught what they should have Teachers do not stay, and many would rather be the kids "friend" than teacher. There is a lot of tension in the school. Not a good school at all. I am embarrassed that this is considered a charter school as charter schools are suppose to maintain a high level of quality. This school caused quite a bit of problems with my kids as they lost their love of learning and their smile. Close Quote
