As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I was very impressed with all the positive things I heard from students and parents while looking into this school for my two children. After enrollment, the staff and administration just enforced everything I have heard. My children and I enjoy the school. Teachers are some of the best. They really care about my child and their future. Close Quote

Open Quote This is the first year my children have attended Taylor Exemplar Academy and I must say it has been a great year. The curriculum is challenging my children to perform at a higher level and the school offers diversity which is important in today's society. I have found their teachers and the principal to be warm, engaging and dedicated to ensuring my children's educational needs are met. Again, this was our first year with T.E.A. and both my son and daughter are Honor Roll students who LOVE this school! Close Quote

Open Quote I enrolled my daughter in this school when it first opened. Compared to the Taylor public schools this school was amazing. Now my daughter is in 3rd grade and has attended TEA for 4 years and I am less than thrilled. This school is more like a prison for the kids than a school. The staff is constantly moving around, my daughter has now had 3 different teachers for her math class from Sept to Dec. Unless your child scores low enough for the school to get special ed funding, don't even try to ask for tutoring or after school help from the teachers. And the principle, well unless you are the same color as him, don't expect even a friendly 'hello' when you walk into this school, he will talk down to you like you are a piece of trash, so how does he talk to the kids then?? He will talk down to the teachers in from of the students and parents. Makes me wonder. I am all for an exceptional education for my daughter but I am not sure that this is the right environment anymore. Oh and on an extra note, I love when you walk into the school office this year, there are brand new leather couches, table lamps, pillows, curtains, rugs ect. Please tell me why though there is never enough folding chairs for the parents at school functions......
The only reason that my daughter still attends here is because she is comfortable for now, I want to make sure that the next school we enroll her in doesn't end up with the same issues, I am carefully checking out my other options. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
