Middle Schools in Huron Valley Schools

The two middle schools in the Huron Valley Schools district—Muir Middle School and White Lake Middle School—serve grades 6-8 in the Milford and White Lake areas of Michigan, offering families two solid, above-average public school options within a district ranked in the top 26% statewide.

Muir Middle School is the consistent academic leader, holding a 4-star rating and ranking in the 80th percentile statewide for three straight years. It shines brightest in 7th grade ELA (53.2% proficiency, nearly 15 points above the state) and 8th grade PSAT ELA (77.8%), while also posting strong social studies scores. However, White Lake Middle School is the district’s most improved school, jumping from a 3-star to a 4-star rating and climbing 93 state ranking spots in a single year. White Lake now actually beats Muir in several key areas: 6th grade ELA (47.5% vs. 44.0%), 8th grade science (52.4% vs. 44.6%), and 8th grade social studies (68.5% vs. 66.3%).
