Open Quote The curriculum is generally alright. Art, music, and extracurricular programs are present, but weak. Many of the extracurricular events listed on their website are actually class fieldtrips. Be sure to read the school handbook posted on the school website BEFORE you enroll your child at this school. The administration is autocratic and disinterested in any opinion other than their own. Most of the teachers are good. A few are great. A few are really horrible. Many of the day-to-day policies are extreme. (e.g. Children may never touch snow.) Overall, it is a slightly better than average school with administrators who will make you very angry on a regular basis. The public schools in the area are equally good or even better, and have much more reasonable administrators. Close Quote

Open Quote I love this school. My son started this year in the 5th grade and he has had a complete about face in his attitude about school and his abilities. He struggled since first grade and by grade 3 was starting to go under. He now is thriving in a way I never could believe possible. St. Johns looks at each student individually and evaluates what is the best for that child to learn and grow. My son is now enthusiastic about going to school, is taking responsibility for his work and he has motivation to want to do well. The expectations for the students are high but from the top down, every teacher and staff member shows such dedication and enthusiasm for each individual child, it feeds into the kids and makes them want to succeed.
