Open Quote I have sent my two children to Casa and we couldn't be happier! The staff are pros--they know how to teach children and do it excellently. My child has grown in maturity, responsibility, and confidence and I attribute much of that to the experiences gained at preschool. The classroom is wonderful---"old school" but not out-of-date. This is truly a gem of a place. The school year of 2013-2014 is almost fully enrolled at their max capacity (50 students; 25 per class), and it speaks to the wonderful quality of the school. Open Quote My kids love it! The teachers and staff are friendly, warm, hardworking, and always respectful of every child. They follow the AMI method of Montessori education which facilitates a love of learning and fosters self confidence, but what really won me over are the teachers and staff at Casa. They do an excellent job of assisting each child to lay the foundation for learning and life. If you have been searching for a stimulating, warm and caring environment to begin your child's school experience, there are none better than Casa! The quality pre-school, Kindergarten, and before and after care are truly unique. I can't say enough about how well prepared my children were when they graduated from Kindergarten at Casa, and most importantly what great attributes they took with them to the other schools they attended. They are now in 8th, 5th, 3rd and 1st grades. Don't be fooled by Casa's humble exterior, inside, a hidden gem awaits your child! Close Quote

Open Quote I can't say enough good things about the Montessori philosophy, and Casa is a wonderful small school with a relaxed, family feel. My sons' teacher is the school's founder, and the boys love her. They've been talking all summer about going back to school--they really miss the classroom work. We decided to keep our older son there this year for his Kindergarten year, and our younger son loves being in his brother's class--the multi-age classrooms are a nice perk (and philosophically preferable, according to research). Casa is also quite affordable compared to other area Montessoris (and they offer before- and after-care).

Music and art are incorporated into classroom work; there is a little weekly exposure to Spanish with one of the classroom assistants who is a native Spanish speaker. They offer weekly after-school soccer through Soccer Shots in the fall and spring.

The classrooms are large, light and inviting, and the daycare room is also large and well-outfitted with toys and an eating area. Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter (4 yr old) absolutely loves Casa. The staff is exceptional and truly love what they do and provide the best learning environment for their students. We were referred to Casa by friends whose 2 children also attended Casa and now we know why. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
