Open Quote Please do not send your child to this school. Not only is the quality of the education poor, it is an emotionally abusive environment. They admit children with serious behavioral issues that they do not know how to handle. These children bully other kids and the the teachers insist that other children must play with the kids who torment them. The faculty are not well trained in their subjects, pedagogy, or child development. They have no understanding of mental health issues despite the population of the school. The administration is hostile and secretive and reacts with anger towards families who express concerns. Indeed, in the age of Parkland, the administration was angry at families who expressed concerns about a student who made threats to kill other students. The child was not sent to the office or sent home and yet the families who reported concerns were targeted by faculty and staff.
The school represent itself as inclusive, but it is only inclusive of preferred families. We had to withdraw our child from the school because of the emotional toll it was taking. We have been forced to spend thousands of dollars on tutoring for our child (who has no learning issues) because the teacher this year simply did not teach math or science at all.
The school failed to provide our child with an education. Even more upsetting, it was an unsafe environment both emotionally and physically. Avoid this school at all cost. Close Quote

Open Quote They are not what they appear to be. It was not a good match for my children, they hated to go. I was so sad that it did not live up to what they said, nor what they advertise on their web-site. It is my understanding that all these changes started when they got a new head of school in 2008. It is sad, I was hoping we would be there for the long hall. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
