The Springfield Virtual School is a district-run alternative virtual school at 43 Homer St in Springfield, MA, serving about 250 students in PreK through Grade 12 as part of the Springfield district, which ranks 322 of 351 districts statewide.

Results swing widely from year to year. Nearby Springfield International Charter School graduates 94.4% with a 4.6% dropout rate but is less competitive in science (26.82% vs 30.43%) and has a student–teacher ratio of 16.4 versus 8.8 here. Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School posts 100% graduation and 63–68% proficiency, though its selective immersion model is a different kind of school. Science, the 8th grade, and a low student–teacher ratio are this school's strengths to build on; poverty and spending data are not reported, so comparisons have limits.
