Southborough has four public schools serving students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade: Mary E Finn School (PK–1), Albert S. Woodward Memorial School (2–3), Margaret A Neary (4–5), and P Brent Trottier (6–8). All belong to the Southborough district, which ranks 11th of 351 districts in Massachusetts — the 97th percentile — with a 5-star rating. Total enrollment is 1,310 students, roughly 69% elementary and 31% middle school. There is no high school in this group. Albert S. Woodward Memorial posted exceptional 2024-2025 results — 83.33% ELA and 82.44% math — before moderating to 68.67% ELA and 72.67% math in 2025-2026, still above state but near district levels. Mary E Finn serves PK–1 and has no MCAS scores, so it cannot be compared on test performance; it has the lowest per-student spending at $17,591 and a 10.8 student-teacher ratio. Resource metrics do not track neatly with results: Neary has the highest student-teacher ratio (14.4) yet the strongest math and highest ranking, while Trottier has the lowest (9.8).
