The Andover school system serves about 5,329 students across nine schools — five elementary, three middle, and one high school — in a highly rated district that ranks 36th of 351 statewide (90th percentile, 5 stars).

Elementary and middle schools in Andover are strong across the board. High Plain Elementary is the top elementary performer, ranking 62nd of 899 (93rd percentile) with the highest ELA score in the list (68.63%) and above-district math and science results. Andover West Middle is the strongest middle school (28th of 478, 94th percentile), posting the highest science (78.43%) and civics (73.86%) scores in the entire list. Doherty Middle is a consistent five-star school, and South Elementary and Henry C Sanborn Elementary remain high performers, though both have slipped in the rankings — Sanborn declined sharply from a 98th-percentile peak in 2024–2025.
