As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote the school is very dirty. Staff unprofessional and not curtious. Stood at the front desk for 15 minutes the other day while the secretary sold shoe laces to a studend before she even acknoleded i was there and then didn't even say hello or excuse me. The Sherrif officer is mostly not seen she doesn't even wait by the cars in the morning to get the children into school drop off time is from 8:00 to 8:30 and she usually strolls back into school after about 10 minutes. In my mind there is no security to speak of. You can just walk into the school any time you want and go straight to the classes without anyone even acknolodging you. My son is doing worse in school now then he has ever done and teachers don't seem to care. Very Poor school!!! I will be moving him as soon as i pssibly can. I have another child in Paradise elementary and he just loves it there. He is doing very well in school now and all the staff and teachers are wonderful. Security is great too at Paradise elementary. Unlike the horrible conditions at Mable Brasher. Very disappointed in this school. Close Quote

Open Quote I am completely disappointed in this school. They don't have a playground, their pick up and drop off schedule is hideous and disorganized and my child is in a classroom of 30 kids because they have yet to hire a new a teacher to take over some of the overflow. If you have a choice of where to enroll your child, choose somewhere other than Maybel Brasher Elementary. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
