As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote School building itself old , new principal for the 12/13 school year, needs to prove herself.. pick up and drop off is a joke , it is on a state highway and Louisiana is way,way behind the ball on roads , parents park anywhere like a "free for all" and courtesy goes to the wayside...

As for academics, our child's 1st grade teacher suffered a health related issue over the summer and affected her teaching ability , as a result the class as a whole suffered the first part of the school year (retired at Thanksgiving break) so , I believe that a lot of catching up is needed for the class as a whole .I think that the higher ups at the school should have addressed this from the beginning ...

If we feel that by the end of the year our child has not excelled in her schooling , we will have no choice but to put her in a private school for education. Other parents have complained that Earnest Gallet also facing big hurdles and over crowding and reviews can be found online.

The rapid growth of homes being built so fast that it will only put more pressure on Milton. The school boundary is Vermillion River Bridge/ South of East Broussard to South of Vincent Rd to West side of Verot School Road to I believe Savoy back to the West heading to the Vermillion River , essentially the Vermillion River is the Western cutoff .

Realtors will not tell you this as the do not want to be held accountable as the boundary can change again...

I would contact Steve Fruge' [email protected] to get the PDF file for the streets that are in Milton District.

And , for what it's worth , home prices are crazy high in this area , may want to look at other areas of Lafayette to live and just send your child to a private school.

You will either over pay for a home to attend Milton or pay a whole lot less in central Lafayette and just have school tuition.

Just one more thing , this is the country , nothing for children to do in off time .. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
