Open Quote THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT TEACH THE KIDS ANYTHING WITH THE PROGRAM THE KIDS ARE SELF TAUGHT. I REALLY BELIEVE THAT THE SCHOOL WOULD BECOME A GOOD SCHOOL IF THEY HAD THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN PLACE TO TEACH. THERE ARE A LOT OF KIDS COMING FROM PRIVATE SCHOOL TO MORRIS JEFFE SO WHEN THEY GET TO MORRIS JEFF THE KIDS ARE NOT BEING TAUGHT PROPERLY. I REALLY LOVE THE FACT THAT MY KIDS LOVE THE SCHOOL THAT'S ONLY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT DO WORK AT ALL IN SCHOOL. THEY ONLY GO IN THEIR OWN GROUPS AND ARE SELF TAUGHT. THIS SCHOOL USE PYP AND MYP PROGRAM HOWEVER IT IS NOT RAN CORRECTLY. I FEEL MY KIDS HAVE LOST SKILLS. MORRIS JEFF WILL BE A GREAT SCHOOL ONLY IF THE TEACHERS ACTUALLY TAUGHT THE WAY THE PROGRAM IS DESIGN. I REALLY BELIEVE THE CLASS ROOM SIZE IS TO BIG 28 KIDS 1 TEACHER THAT ALLOW THE KIDS TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. WHEN ASKED ABOUT HOW THE TEACHER TEACHES I AM BEING TOLD WE ARE UP TO LOUISIANA STANDARDS THE SCHOOL IS A C SCHOOL THEY ONLY BECAME A LOW B SCHOOL BASED ON THE 10 POINT CURVE. THIS SCHOOL HAVE BEEN A C SCHOOL AND THE SCORES ARE SOOOO LOW. THIS IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I HAVE MADE BECAUSE MY KIDS ARE HAPPY HOWEVER THEY ARE DECLINING I FEEL THAT THEY ARE NOT GETTING THE MATERIAL THEY NEED IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THERE WAS A BLANCE. IF YOU WANT YOUR KIDS HAPPY SEND THEM TO THIS SCHOOL IF YPOU WANTED THEN TO GET AN EDUCATION AND BE HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME LOOK SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THE NEW BUILDING THAT'S FULL OF PLAY. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
